Living at a floating village in Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia

I traveled from Phnom Penh to Kampong Chhnang. It is only about 90 km from Phnom Penh and nowadays traveling over a good road the trip can be done in about 2 to 3 hours. Kampong Chhnang is located along the Tongle Sap river and is famous for its ethnic Vietnamese that live here in a floating village. The "city" has 2 parts, the new part of the town with hotels and the river-front area which is about 2km from the new part of town. Along the river is a market with food, wood & bamboo. At the harbor area you are approached by you people who offer you a 1 hour trip on their small boat, to see how the people on the floating village are living. This is really a amazing trip. As only westerner (and only tourist) I was greeted by young & old who liked to speak a bit of English.
