Traveling with Google Earth

With all the information that is nowadays available via internet research of a new trip anywhere in the world has changed very much. We can read all kind of travel-blogs (like mine), Guide Books or any other web-board with first hand experience from travelers and locals. We can see photos people made all over the world. And it is all just a click away.

One of this new options of researching a new trip is Google Earth (available as program to download) or Google Maps (available at any web-browser or as program to download for many mobile devices). And I love it. And it is all free!

It is amazing what you can see & find on Google earth with reasonable up-to-date satellite images and even reasonable up-to-date information about locations like bus-stations, hotels, airports and other Points-Of-Interests. Because it is not only information from Google but also information from people, it is more or less community based.

So I made a map available on Google Maps that you can search via Google Maps, Google Earth or see as layer at Google Maps for Mobile. It shows hotels, restaurants, beaches, temples or whatever where I have been. And I will keep on updating it on a daily base. Just do a search for "Walking in the footsteps of The Little Elephant". Or take a look at The Little Elephant @ Google Maps

If you want to download Google Earth for Windows or Apple OSX just go to Download Google Earth If you want to download Google Maps for Mobile just go to Download Google Maps for Mobile
