Staying in Battambang, Cambodia

When I arrived in October 2010 by bus in Battambang I took a Tuk-Tuk to show me some hotels.

La Villa
First I had a look at La Villa what is a renovated French colonial house right along the river with only 7 rooms in the price range of 40-60us$ incl. breakfast. It has swimming pool in the garden and the rooms did look comfortable and clean. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Too bad it was full. See La Villa Battambang

Au Caberet Vert
Then I had a look at Au Caberet Vert what is a brand new modern hotel with a few bungalows in a tropical garden. When I visit this hotel it was not 100% ready yet but it soon will be. There is free parking in front of the hotel and in the garden is a swimming pool. The hotel is located a bit out of the way of the city center. The rooms did look modern and comfortable. I am sure this will be a nice place to stay next time. See Au Cabaret Vert
