Staying at Manhattan Hotel in Rotterdam, Netherlands

December 2011. It is 4 years ago that I was last back in my home country and this year we are back for Christmas and new-year celebration with my family. So I had been looking for hotels in Rotterdam and I find hotels expensive in the Netherlands. But within the winter-promotion of this hotel I could book their "standard" room for a reasonable price included a good breakfast buffet.

Although the room is a bit small for staying 7 days (with a lot of luggage), it is a good and comfortable room with computerized mini-bar, TV, Airco, working-desk and bathroom with bathtub. The staff is all very friendly and service minded and the breakfast buffet is exactly what I like with good bread, croissant, good jam, cheese and other real Dutch things. I loved it!
Although there is LAN and Wifi internet in the all hotel, its is not free and rather expensive to use it. But at the bar at the first floor you can get 3hr free internet. The expensive internet access is something I dislike in all the "better" hotels, like "Well the company will pay the bill so you do not care how much it costs". The hotel is located straight opposite the "Central" train station and has good access to all kind of public transport in Rotterdam. The hotel has parking but not free of charge. Another thing I did forget is the prompt email replies that I received at email questions. Very good! In this modern time people seem to forget that quick reply can be very helpful and gives a customer trust in all other services.

Update : I think this hotel has changed ownership and name.
