Staying at Palm Lodge & Restaurant near Sikhio

Palm Lodge & Restaurant near Sikhio, Thailand
Sep'2012 Located at Nong Nam Sai (Sikio, Nakhon Ratchasima) in the middle of nowhere. Well not completely nowhere otherwise nobody would have found in already. It looks like it is located in the middle of nowhere but actually it is only about 7 km from highway route 2 and only 5-km from railway station "Klong Pai". It is a brand new small resort build in an old mango-tree yard with a small lake in between the 5 bungalows and the restaurant. Facebook : FB page of Palm Lodge Sikhio

Currently there are 5 bungalows, with 2 being family-rooms. Room price might seem a bit expensive but all rooms are of high quality with good kind-sized beds, satellite TV, fridge, airco, good bathroom and as said all of very good quality. Every bungalow has its own little balcony and private (covered) parking. Room prices are incl. plate-service breakfast (Thai & Westerner) from 8:00 until 11:00 and the restaurant serves lunch and dinner until 21:00. The food is good and tasty but not really cheap. But well it is all about location, location and location.

The hotel is managed by an Aussie guy and his Thai wife, so not speaking Thai is no problem.  The staff is friendly and service minded. There is free WiFi in the restaurant and it seems that local westerners & Thai have found the good restaurant already (I think the resort is not yet open for 1 year). The resort is family / children friendly and even has an mini-golf. Of course it is also open just for people who like to have a good dinner and enjoy a quiet evening. We had dinner here once and both me (not too spicy) and my wife (loves spicy) enjoyed our delicious food.
