Central Market in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Central Market in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Central Market, build in 1937, bombed by the Thai Airforce and looted by the Khmer Rouge it is still standing and after a 3 years renovation it opened its doors again in 2011. Thank Buddha that they did not just levelled it and did build condos (like what is happening in Bangkok). Walking and getting lost in Phnom Penh is fantastic, with a busy street life, old architecture, markets and many friendly people. Just follow your nose.
