Staying at the Hotel Mermaid in Bangkok

March'2013 Sorry no photos this time. We stayed here for 1 night, visiting friends in Bangkok. The hotel is located at Soi 29 of Sukhumvit road, just 25m from Sukhumvit road and only 5min walk from the Skytrain. The hotel is in an recently renovated condo building and has 8 rooms per floor. We did stay in the "Corner Suite". This type of room has windows all around the room and with the sun on the windows it gets hot in the room, so close the curtains. No view at the 3rd floor anyway.

It has an huge bathroom with a beautiful design bathtub and separate shower (with additional rain-shower). The room is comfortable but not really big. It is an non-smoking hotel, but if you have your own private balcony for that. They serve buffet breakfast in the restaurant, but it is a bit simple and not much staff. The hotel is close to Sukhumvit and the Skytrain, location-wise very good. But at night you can hear the Skytrain and traffic in your room. Not load but once & while still disturbing. Staff was bit unfriendly and unprofessional. All together I think it is not good value for money and I would not stay here again. See
