Staying at theTerres Rouges Lodge in Ban Lung, Cambodia

Staying at theTerres Rouges Lodge in Ban Lung, CambodiaMay'2013 My Junior Suite room tastefully and comfortable decorated with a huge bathroom (and open-air shower in the garden). Of course the room has TV, Airco and ceiling fan. The Lodge under France management is located along Boeung Kan Siang, a lake just on the northern side of Ban Lung. It is said to be out of town but it is just a 10min walk to the main street. Around the lake are a few other hotels and restaurants.

The Lodge has a beautiful garden, restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and of course an swimming pool. They have about 29 rooms with standard fan-only rooms downstairs in the main building. And superior rooms upstairs (airco). Then they have a few Junior suites and a few Superior Suites.Breakfast, lunch and dinner was good, as was the service of the staff also. They also have a big collection of good bicycles to explorer the little town of Ban Lung (or to make some longer biking trips). They do not have motorbikes for rent.

Actually all fine, although I think the standard price is a bit too expensive and even the given promotion price was not cheap. But I think this Lodge is actually the only real good hotel in town. Another thing is that the staff could be a bit more service minded at the entrance of the hotel and at the lobby. A few times I walked to the front-desk and a staff member is just sitting there and does not think I would need assistance. See Terres Rouges
