Travel Tips : Rain & flooding in Thailand

Sep'2013 Due to heavy rainfall in Thailand there is at multiple places in Thailand flooding or chance of flooding. Especially the southern part of the Isaan (North-East of Thailand) in Surin and Khorat. And in the western part of Central Thailand, like Prachinburi.

Train service to Udon Ratchathani may be disrupted due to flooded rail-way. But do not worry as according to Thai government officials at least Bangkok will not be flooded (this year). That a friend of mine living in Surin has already for more as 1 week water in his house and that people are taking a boat in other places must all be a bad dream.

Personally I would before travelling check how the situation is at that moment. All I can say at the moment of 27 September 2013 there is no chance of flooding in or around Khon Kaen city, although some area's in Roi-Et seem to be flooded.
