On every mountain should be a Chedi

Temples in North Thailand

When driving on route 118 to Chiang Mai I saw a Chedi on top of a mountain and thought "Let's have a look". It was a bit difficult to find as there are many small roads leading to the mountain and only a few signs (in Thai only). And the last 500 meter is very steep. But we managed to reach the beautiful decorated 'Wat Phrathat Mon Prachao Lai" with 27 sitting Buddha's and 8 standing Buddha's on each of the four sides. From the top you have a great view over the all area.
