Staying at Nan Guesthouse in Nan

Staying at the Nan Guesthouse in Nan
My breakfast
Dec'2013 Sorry no photos, just forgot to take take them (it was bloody cold). Located in the historic center of Nan city, with in walking distance of the most beautiful temples of Nan. The guesthouse is a converted old wooden house with a lot of character and charm. They have simple rooms with shared bathroom and a few rooms with airco and private bathroom. My room (with private bathroom) was comfortable although a bit basic. But as said with airco and fridge. Rooms and the all guesthouse are clean and well taken care of. The guesthouse has a roof-top terrace where you can sit and relax and from where you have a great view over Nan city.

Next to the guesthouse is Cafe "De Zeven" for breakfast & lunch. Or just for a drink. It is managed by the same people as the guesthouse (who do speak Thai, English and Dutch). I had a good breakfast with home-made bread (maybe next time also home-made jam?) and good tea. Simple but I love it. They also rent out bicycles and scooters, to explorer the city and nearby area. The guesthouse has a lot of local information & knowledge for travelling in Nan. Something I like very much as traveller. Although guesthouses are actually not my cup of tea, I think this is one of the better guesthouses in Nan. Especially because of the lovely hospitality and service. See Nan Guesthouse.
