Staying at the The Continent Hotel in Bangkok

July'2014 Great location at 5 min walk from Skytrain or subway. Stylish modern hotel with friendly and service minded staff (well most of the staff). The rooms are comfortable but a bit small. But the buffet breakfast is really below par of the level that the hotel pretends to be. As is also the quality of a cup of hot chocolate in the lobby bar. And it did even costs almost 200 Thai baht while for 40 Thai baht I can get a much better hot chocolate at any Amazon Coffee Shop. O yes of course the hotel has a restaurant, swimming pool, rooftop bar and limited private parking.

So although the room was fine I think for that price I can find better hotels in that area of Bangkok.
Why? Well the toilet was not flushing, the hot-water cooker was melting and the rooms are a bit noisy. When we wanted to check-out the roof-top bar the staff there yelled from the other side that it was closed and did not bother to even invite us for later. See The Continent Hotel
