Staying at Le Grand Mekong Hotel in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

View from Le Grand Mekong Hotel in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
A brand new hotel (in 2014) right along the riverside of Phnom Penh city. My room was a Premier Suite River View. Each of the 7 floors has 2 rooms with River View (with private balcony) and the higher floors have 4 rooms with City View (I assume the lower floor rooms have no view). The all hotel is decorated with wood and you feel yourself a bit in Ratanakhiri (but in the wrong way). The room was comfortable and the bathroom big (maybe a bit too big). The rooms have fan, airco, free wifi, fridge and TV. The hotels services reasonable good plate-service breakfast at the "Sky bar" on the 8th floor. The staff is friendly and service minded. The hotel does not have parking or swimming pool.

The top attraction of the hotel is of course the view from your private balcony over the Tongle Sap and Mekong River. That is really stunning. But although all was fine I think I would not stay here again. I think for the price you can get a better room (although not with the great view). This hotel will have a serious maintenance problem in the future (or actually already has). But if you do not mind that, then it is a great hotel. For more photos click on read more.
