Happy Chinese New Year 2015

Just one month after the Western / International New Year it is time to announce Chinese New Year of 2015 ... at 19 February already (as the Chinese calendar is a lunar calendar the new-year is not always on the same day of the international calendar). In China it will be a 2 week major holiday, so forget doing any business in China. Chinese New Year will be celebrated all over the world where Chinese populations are but for sure in Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia. And probably also in Laos and Cambodia in the Chinese communities.

In Thailand the biggest celebration will be in China Town in Bangkok and in Northern Thailand hill-tribe villages from Chinese descents. As in China it is a major holiday you can also expect a increase of Chinese tourists in Thailand in places like Pattaya and Chiang Mai. Great to be in a country with so many new-years .... in April it will be Songkran or Thai New Year! The new Chinese year will be the year of the Goat. See Chinese_New_Year
