Wishing you a Happy New Year 2559 / 2016

It is that time of the year again .... the end of 2015 and soon the beginning of 2016. Although it is a bit weird in Thailand. Here in Thailand we are living in the Buddhist year of 2558, so next year will be 2559. And the Thai New-Year is actually celebrated in April with Songkran. But to adjust to the rest of the world Thailand has adapted the international (western / Christian) New-Year on 31 December. Well and because most Thai people like a party. We will celebrate this New-Year with the family of my wife in a small village upcountry, so the party will be in village style. But if you are in places like Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Chiang Mai or even Khon Kaen there will be a huge fire-work show. And there will be big parties! So enjoy HAPPY NEW-YEAR And I hope to see you all again next year! When you are driving around the days of New-Year .... be careful, do not DRINK & DRIVE! Don't become a statistic of the Thai traffic!
