Hidden history in Bangkok

 Traveling in Thailand

Last week I was in Bangkok and I like to look beyond the facade of modern Bangkok. In between the new high-rise buildings you will still see old wooden houses, some of them more as 100 years old. This photo shows an old Chinese grave at Silom road, seen from a high-rise building. Next to each other (but hidden from the street) an Christian and an Chinese cemetery. The Chinese cemetery is partly also used as parking place. Mind you this is all at an area of the most expensive land of Bangkok.
