Preparing for Nan Boat Race & Parade 2016 in Nan town

Our village has been a winner in the past years but this year they did not participate in the boat race at all. But as there is scheduled a special boat race of 89 boats on 1 December 2016 (tomorrow) in Nan town to honour King Rama 9, they strong man of our village started to practice about 5 days ago. But as the waterlevel in the Nan River near our village is too low for good boat racing the brought the boat to a nearby lake to practice. Today the boat of our village, that is a gift from a rich family in Wiang Sa, was transported to Nan town. As well as all other villages did bring their boat. And in the afternoon they started to practice the boat racing. But also a try-out for the parade tomorrow morning.

The official planning is to start the parade tomorrow morning at 9:00am in Nan town (near the main bridge) and in the afternoon there will be the boat race. If you like to come and look to the boat race then please be dressed politely in dark or black colours.
