Wishing you a Happy New Year 2560 / 2017

The wonderful thing about living in Thailand, many new years to celebrate. First Chinese New Year, then Thai New Year (Songkran) and then Western New Year. And in between there are many hill-tribes that celebrate their New Year on a slightly different date as the western new year.

In Thailand we are now still living in 2559 and I hope 2560 will bring even more joy and travelings as this year brought. We will be celebrating New Year in our new small mountain village along the Nan River in North Thailand. For bigger parties you will have to go to places like Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket or Chiang Mai. But even in Khon Kaen there will be New Year celebration. Although must be said that due to the death of the King it could be that some celebrations at some places will be tuned down a bit. So enjoy your New Year party, and I hope to see you all again next year!

When you are driving around the days of New-Year .... be careful, do not DRINK & DRIVE!
Don't become a statistic of the Thai traffic!
