Visiting a small village in Chiang Rai

Hill Tribes in a mountain village at Chiang Khong - North Thailand

No this is not how the children normally walk around in the village. This was for a special celebration (not me). It is a Hmong village about 30km west of Chiang Khong with stunning view over the valley of Chiang Khong and the Mekong River with Laos on the other side. The older people stay home, take care of the babies and do some work at home like making the beautiful hill-tribe cloths they are still wearing.
