A few days in the Big Mango

Asoke intersection in Bangkok, Thailand

Last week I was in Bangkok for 2 days for pleasure and meetings. Living up north in Nan province is great but sometimes I am missing the city life. So with a good excuse I took the 1hr and 10min airplane flight from Nan Nakhon Airport to Don Muang Airport Bangkok with Nok Air. A smooth flight although we left 30min too late. From Don Muang Airport I took the bus for 30 Thai baht to BTS station Mo Chit and then the BTS to Asoke (Sukhumvit) for 44 Thai baht. I did stay at The Connex Hotel, what is just 100m from BTS & MRT Asoke. And with the BTS or MRT you can go anyway in Bangkok. So I enjoyed 2 days in modern Bangkok with shopping, eating delicious Italian food and meeting old & new friends. But after 2 days I am just as happy to go back home sweet home to Nan province in the mountains of North Thailand. Photo is taken from my room.
