Cooling down at the Nan River in Nan

The Nan River in North Thailand

The hot season is arriving in Nan - North Thailand and people are looking for a fun way to cool down. And the many rivers in North Thailand are the perfect place for that. The water is clear and not too strong current at this time of the year. So people build temporarily bamboo sala's in and along the Nan River to sit, relax and of course eat & drink. And you can rent tubes for tubing over the river. A great way for young and old to spend a afternoon and be part of the local life. Following are some more photos. For more information about the beautiful Nan province see Destination Travel Guide Nan, North Thailand.
