Train stations in Cambodia, next station Phnom Penh

Traveling by train in Cambodia
Train station Phnom Penh in Cambodia

As you might know by now, I love train stations. Sorry not much photos but I will give you some background information about this train station. It was build in 1932 and used until the Khmer Rouge, then closed and in declining state. In 2012 it was totally renovated but not used as there were no trains running in Cambodia. Currently it is serving a train to Kampot & Sihanoukville. And to the airport. But it is scheduled for end 2018 to also serve a train to Poi Pet at the border to Thailand. It is a end-station with 4 platforms. Following are 2 photos that come from Wikipedia. About the history of trains in Cambodia see Phnom Penh Post.
