The Rice Field Project Part 20 : Final design adjustment and building planning

As part of Living in Thailand, the Rice Field Project follows our journey of buying land and preparing it for building our house. This is part 20, to read the other parts click Rice Field Project.

So you not have been hearing from me for awhile about our Rice Field Project, but the project is still going on. We have now made our final adjustments to the floor plan. And we did receive the final costs of construction, what became a little bit more as we made the house a little bit bigger and higher. Next week we will get a 3D design of our house. Once that is approved there will be made a building contract that includes used materials, costs, payments and planning of the real construction. The planning is to start in October and that it will take 6 months to build the house.

In the meanwhile we did also get an quotation for making a low wall at the end of our land to stop water leaking into our land. That wall should be about 23m long and would go about 50cm into the ground and only 50cm above the land. The quotation was a bit too high, actually I think we can have that done for the half. So for this we will be looking other people.

If all goes planned next update will be in about 2 weeks about building the low wall and about the building contract.
