The old Overbrook Hospital in Chiang Rai

Traveling in North Thailand

While I had some time in Chiang Rai town, I did walk around in a area of Chiang Rai downtown that most tourists not see : the area of the morning market. Near there is also the Overbrook Hospital, build in 1903 by donations of the Overbrook Presbyterian Church. And the great thing is that besides the modern new hospital buildings there is still the old original building with a small garden behind it. It looks nice and I hope they will continue to keep this building in working order. In front of the hospital is the first ambulance used by the Overbrook Hospital.
