Traveling in Prachuap Khiri Khan province in Central Thailand

Traveling in Thailand

Last year I did make a posting about counting all the provinces I had been in Thailand. And I saw I have been to (stayed in) 48 provinces out of the 76. So in the coming months I will travel via my postings from the most southern province I have been to the most northern province, with some photos and information about each province. This is part 8 of the 47 (out of the 77) provinces where I have at least stayed overnight once.  You could wonder if Prachuap Khiri Khan province is South Thailand or Central Thailand. As the most famous place in Prachuap Khiri Khan province is Hua Hin most people consider this to be Central Thailand. But as Prachuap Khiri Khan province is a long stretched province to the south you could also consider it to be South Thailand. Prachuap Khiri Khan province borders on along the Golf of Siam at at the east-side and and with Myanmar on the west-side. Prachuap Khiri Khan province can be reached by bus, train and air (HHQ). The capital town is of course Prachuap Khiri Khan town although the most famous places is the beach resort Hua Hin.

Personally I did stay many times in Hua Hin, just to relax at the beach and meet friends living there. And I did visit twice he beautiful Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park with a beautiful beach and the famous temple in the cave. Yes Prachuap Khiri Khan province is a province worth of traveling to and it is much more as just the beach of Hua Hin. In & around Hua Hin are waterparks, musea, art galleries and beautiful temples. Along the coast-line of Prachuap Khiri Khan province are many nice beaches, national parks like Huai Yang National Park with beautiful waterfalls and Kui Buri National Park. And the capital Prachuap Khiri Khan with a huge bay, beaches, markets and royal temples. Yes also Prachuap Khiri Khan province is worth exploring more in the near future.
