Food at a jungle market in Thung Chang

Destination Travel Guide Nan, Thailand

Every Saturday there is a special jungle market in Thung Chang, a small town in Nan province in North Thailand. And people from the forest eat things I would not eat. Photo above are eggs from red ants, in Thai called Kai Mot Deang. First photo below are honeycombs. Last photo below looks like tomatoes but they are not. They taste sour, very sour. Always a surprise on a Thai market. For more information about the beautiful Nan province in North Thailand see Destination Travel Guide Nan, Thailand.
