On the way to North-East Thailand

Traveling in North-East Thailand

My wife was born in a very small village in North-East Thailand, also called the Isaan. A place so small that you would call it the end of the world, especially 15 years ago when I was there for the first time. And my wife had not been to here family for a long time, so we did drive from the mountains of North Thailand to the Khorat plateau of North-East Thailand. Photo was taken while still driving in what is called Central Thailand and in the distance you see the beginning the Khorat plateau, about 200m higher as Central Thailand but the plateau begin with a mountain range. Vegetation along the road is all corn, sugar-cane and rice. In the following days you will see more postings from a few days North-East Thailand.
