On the scooter to Ban Sakad

Where to go in the mountains of Doi Phu Kha in Nan province, North Thailand

On a beautiful afternoon we took the Honda SuperCub scooter from my wife and did ride to Ban Sakad, this is only 18 km but the last 10 km goes into the mountains to a height of about 1.000m. Ban Sakad is a small hill-tribe village build on the slopes of the mountains of Doi Sakad and since 2 years it is becoming a popular destination for Thai tourists. So there are now a few coffee shops and a few homestay's. And I sure there will come more in the near future. It is still a lovely place to go and offers stunning  views over the mountains and the valley of Pua. Following are a few more photos of our trip. For more information about Nan province see Destination Travel Guide Nan.
