About

This Travel Blog

I started this travel blog in 2009 as Walking in the Footsteps of Chang Noi to inform my family & friends back home about living in Thailand and it turned into this non-commercial travel blog Traveling 2 Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in Thailand with inside tips about off the beaten track places and a peek into living in Thailand. I am running this website since 2009 and I have visited all places I write about and I share only first hand personal experiences. Almost all photos are taken by myself and sometimes edited a little bit with Lightroom.

Since 2019 I am working on creating Destination Travel Guides about provinces in North & North-East Thailand. With of course a first in-depth travel guide about Nan province in North Thailand.

Founder & Author

My Thai nickname is Chang Noi (Little Elephant) and I am the founder & editor of this travel blog Traveling 2 Thailand. I  was privileged to be born in a tiny country in Western Europe and while working as software developer I started in 1985 to explore South-East Asia and I found my roots in Thailand medio 2000. After working in the Travel & Hospitality industry in South-East Asia I am now doing what I love  most ... independently traveling in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. If possible by motorbike! And I still love traveling, to go just about to every corner of the always surprising Thailand. My favourite poem is The Men That Don't Fit In by Robert W. Service.
