Going to Hat Sai Keaw at Koh Samet

Traveling in Thailand

In May 2016 we had another relaxed long-weekend with some friends at Koh Samet. This time we did stay at another beach called "Hat Sai Keaw". It is the first beach coming from the pier where the ferry ends. No high-rise buildings, no disco's but only resorts and restaurants along the beach. It is actually amazing that within less as 3 hours drive (and 15min speed-boat) from Bangkok you are at such a beautiful relatively unspoilt island. There were a lot young Russian people at the beach and in the evening the beach is transformed into an entertainment area with restaurants and beach bars. Twice we had dinner at Ploy's Restaurant where you do not only come for the food but also for the spectacular "Fire show" of a 15-man group entertaining you with their fire-magic shows. And of course a Philippine live band creating a great evening. Later in the evening we ended up at the Sunrise Bar to enjoy a good mojito. Yes it was again a great and enjoyable long weekend at Koh Samet! How to get to Koh Samet? Have a look HERE

One night in Bangkok and the world is your oyster

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
