In 2011 I made a little motorbike trip to the very end of rout 331, which is then called the 3126. It ends at the Royal Thai Navy base, after passing U-Tapao airport. But just a 50m before the military check-point there is a gate to the left with the sign "Hat Nang Ram". You follow the road to the right and end up at a big parking place with food stalls and a beach lines up with pine trees. The water here is crystal clear and you can rent some beach chairs to sit and relax and enjoy a beautiful beach. You order food from the food stalls or eat the the small restaurant at the beginning of the beach. There are public toilets and even showers for if you have been swimming. You can walk a bit along the coast here to the next beach. It was a lovely morning and there were not too much people on the beach. Although the sky looks clear and the sun hot I got soaked while going back and riding about 3 km trough a hell of rain.
One night in Bangkok and the world is your oyster
The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
