Breakfast in Savannakhet, Laos

Laos : for me famous for having great fresh French baguette. So we tried to have an "petite dejeuner" at the French restaurant (Dao Savan) in the old quarter (opening from 7am). But although they serve a good espresso, their breakfast was not what I was looking for. So we did go to the main-street and found a typically Lao street cafe & restaurant where they did serve a "Lao Sandwich" with fresh made French baguette and a kind of salad mix with egg. All freshly made right in front of you. It was a great breakfast and I loved to see the way of life starting up in Savannakhet.

Remark : We both got a bad & ugly food poisoning after 3 days, probably from that great breakfast on the street!

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
