Visiting the Wat Pha Po Paan Kam along Ubolratana lake

Temples in Thailand

In 2015 I made a trip to Ubolratana Lake, about 20 km north-west of Khon Kaen city. Along the lake is a mountain range and on that mountain range is of course a temple. You can reach it by walking about 300 steps in a snake-like staircase up to the mountain. From the temple grounds you have a great view of the southern side of the lake. If you are too lazy to walk about 300 steps ... you can get there by car also from the other side but it is a jungle-track. Following are a few photos.

One night in Bangkok and the world is your oyster

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
