Staying at the Ansara Hotel in Vientiane, Laos

Ansara Hotel in Vientiane, Laos

The Ansara Hotel is located in a quite small street just 50 meter away from the boulevard, right in the middle of Vientiane. Although it is a new hotel it is build in old French colonial style, with high ceilings and wooden floors. The hotel has a main building with the gracious lobby and an outdoor restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff is very friendly and service minded. As I am always disappointed when hotels in Vientiane serve tasteless bread for breakfast my wife asked at checking in. And the staff offered to buy fresh French bread for us for breakfast. The hotel has no private parking, although there is a bit of space to park right in front of the hotel. The hotel has 2 buildings behind with a tropical garden in between. Unfortunately no swimming pool.

Our room was not big but very comfortable with airco, TV, fridge and balcony. O yes and a lap-top to use internet (for free). Of course there is also free Wifi. The bathroom was spacious with bathtub (no separate shower). Breakfast was simple but very good, serving a small buffet with fruit, fruit-juice, fresh bread, cornflakes  and a choice of freshly made items like fried rice or scrambled eggs. I think all together the hotel has good value for money and is located very conveniently. Have a look at : Ansara Hotel

One night in Bangkok and the world is your oyster

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
