In 2013 I was staying in Ban Luang in Ratanakiri and did visit the airport. The what? Yes the airport. The better road infrastructure is of course one of the reasons why there are no commercial flights to Ban Lung anymore since a few years. This gravel strip is located on the west side of town and used as short-cut between the market and the west side of town. So it is more busy with people, cars and motorbikes as with airplanes. But up to my surprise I saw an Cessna making a landing approach.
One night in Bangkok and the world is your oyster
The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
