Traveling along the Thai-Lao border in Loei province

Soi Dao waterfall, Thailand

Travelling along the Thai-Lao border from Loei to Nan we were passing Phu Soi Dao National Park and a bit further a waterfall from where you can make a short hike of 6 km thru the jungle of huge bamboo & pine trees. Be aware that the waterfall and walking trail is considered to be part of Phu Soi Dao National Park and you will need to pay entrance fee. For foreigners that means that you have to pay much more as that Thai family driving a BMW. Along this route you will also find some centuries old temples with beautiful murals. Like at the photo below. An amazing off the beaten track route to be traveling in Thailand!

One night in Bangkok and the world is your oyster

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
