Walking on top of Phu Hin Rong Khla in Loei

Traveling in Thailand

When traveling in North-East Thailand we did drive thru Phu Hin Rong Khla National Park and late in the afternoon we made a walk at the "flag pole" area, that was once the home of the Communist Party of Thailand. This is where they raised the flag to show the Thai army they were in controle. We made a short walk of about 2 to 3 km but you can make a little bit longer walk of about 5 km. It is all flat but at some point not really easy walking. At the "end" is a cliff with a very weird moon-like stone formation. Following are much more photos of this stunning place.

One night in Bangkok and the world is your oyster

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
