Marriage in our village

Besides cremations there are also marriages in our village. A local girl did marry with her boyfriend from Chonburi. Due to the 100 days mourn period of King Rama 9 there was no loud music or big party. But for the rest the the marriage was traditional with the groom coming to the house of the bride to ask the parents of her to marry her. And as proof of his love gives her money and gold. And of course everybody has to see that, so it is on show during the marriage. The all village was invited but I think there were about only 250 people. There are tables setup for food & drinks. And with 250 people you need a big "kitchen".

One night in Bangkok and the world is your oyster

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
