An old but renovated police station in Sawankhalok

Historical Buildings in Thailand

Reposting from 2017. This teak wooden police station was build in 1939 and it was almost demolished (new police station of Sawankhalok is right next to it). But luckily someone realised that this is a unique still in original state building and worth of keeping as example for future generations to see. It is build in the Ruen Panya style. You can visit this old police building as it is setup like a kind of museum.

The World Is My Oyster

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
