In 2017 I was in Mae Klong and made some photos of this lovely train station. I love traveling by train, especially in Thailand where it is like traveling in time. It is like an open-air museum. Not only the trains itself but also the train stations. They look like they have not changed since they build the first railroad lines in Thailand in 1889. Mae Klong is not an old station but at the end (or beginning) of a special line and with a very special attraction. This line between Bangkok and Mae Klong is interrupted by the Tha Chin River where you have to take the ferry to the other side. And then continue your train ride to Mae Klong. And is famously known as The Rail Road Market. If you like old Thai train stations then hurry up and visit them all as modernisation is destroying beautiful history!
