The world famous nightlife scene of Bangkok, seen at Soi 23 Sukhumvit road, nicknamed Soi Cowboy. And thank God (or Buddha) I am only watching the game, controlling it. Or well that is at least what I always thought. Soi Cowboy is a 150m short street (soi) between Asoke (soi 21) and Soi 23 with the typically Thai style shopshouses that are now all occupied by bars, mostly Go-Go bars. The first bars were opened in the 1970s, when Soi 23 was still far away along Sukhumvit. Soi Cowboy is one of the 3 A-Go-Go night venues in Bangkok, the other are Nana Plaza and Patpong. They are all nightlife venues targeting non-Thai like expats and nowadays mostly tourists. It is part of what made Thailand world famous. The bars are temples but their pearls ain't free
You'll find a god in every golden cloister
And if you're lucky, then the god's a she
I can feel an angel sliding up to me
