A few days in 1998 in Songkhla

Traveling in South Thailand

In 1998 we did travel from Bangkok to Singapore by train and we made a stop in Hat Yai. From Hat Yai we made a trip of a few days to Songkhla. It is small town on the east coast of South Thailand about 30 km from Hat Yai. Songkhla town is located on a peninsular between the Gulf of Thailand and Songkhla Lake. The town has a rich history and many small streets and of course beach. Worth visiting is Songkhla National Museum, the formerly residence of the Na Songkhla family. Following are some more photo I took in 1998.

One night in Bangkok and the world is your oyster

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
