Relaxing at in the cool water of the Pua River in Pua

Destination Travel Guide Nan province, North Thailand

With our friends from Denmark we did visit one of the "beach" sides along the Pua River, just 10km north of Pua town in Nan province. Just after the village Ban Na Fang goes a small road into the slopes of the mountains of Doi Phu Kha National Park, where the Pua River originates. And after about 3 km you arrive at the first "beach" location along the Pua River. You can sit along the river at bamboo sala's and they staff will serve you food & drinks. Of course you can also swim or tub in the river. Be aware that there is no public transport going there, so you will need your own transport (car or scooter) or hire a Songtheauw in Pua town. A great place to cool down when the hot season starts.

One night in Bangkok and the world is your oyster

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
