Visiting the Wat Phra That Nong Jep

Traveling in Thailand

The Wat Phra That Nong Jep is a temple on a small hill at a small village in Tha Wang Pha district in Nan province, North Thailand. And we did visit to make tamboon and be blessed by the local monk who accidentally comes from the Isaan and speaks just like my wife Khmer. And this monk has a goo reputation for advice about your future. So many people are visiting this little temple. On request (very practical) my wife and friends offered food that they bought at the local market. Monks here in North Thailand are not so strict and a lot talking is done, also with jokes. And while my wife is listing to the monks I took some photos of this little temple. For more information about Nan province have a look at Destination Travel Guide Nan.

The World Is My Oyster

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
