How to get to Song Khwae?
Song Khwae is about 77 km from Nan town :
- By public transport take the inter provincial bus to Chiang Rai and get out at Song Khwae
- By private car or motorbike take route 101 to Tha Wang Pha and then take a left to route 1148 to Chiang Rai. Route 1148 is going thro Song Khwae.

What to do in Song Khwae?
Song Khwae is not a tourist destination, you will be passing it going to Chiang Rai. Although about 25 km north from Song Khwae village is a local Thai-Lao border where once a week is a border market. And within Song Khwae district is Tham Sakoen National Park.
