While at the beach it is all about relaxing and that is what I did when I enjoyed a cocktail at Sea Thru Restaurant along Hat Chao Lao. This restaurant is part of a Chaolao Tosang Hotel with beach-front bungalows. And while I was enjoying my cocktail a Thai family was enjoying the weekend at Hat Chao Lao and playing with their kids on the beach. Hat Chao Lao is not the only beach in Chanthaburi and while taking the scenic route along the coast we made a stop at Laem Sing where is a beautiful beach with beach-chairs and a few restaurants & hotels. From Laem Sing we did driving to Chanthaburi and we did explore the mangroves where along the water front are some seafood restaurants. None of them were busy, so I assume it is more an evening thing to go to. And on the way back we passed Chinese graves as proof of the Chinese heritage of Chanthaburi. Following are a few photos. For more information about Chanthaburi see A guide to the coastline of Chanthaburi.

The journey of Traveling 2 Thailand did begin with One Night in Bangkok in 1985 and since 2009 it became a personal non-commercial travel blog as inspiration for traveling & motorbike riding in Thailand. Made just for the sheer love of traveling and sharing experience about traveling in South-East Asia. To travel beyond the beaten track & highlights. Enjoy!
